This policy applies to everyone who sends email through i-Send. It exists to protect recipients from unwanted email, and to protect the deliverability of every sender on the platform. It forms part of the i-Send Terms of Service.
Prohibited
- Sending to lists that were purchased, rented, or collected by scraping.
- Sending to recipients who have not given consent.
- Falsifying or misrepresenting sender information.
- Ignoring or delaying unsubscribe requests.
Required
- Every subscription must be confirmed by double opt-in before any marketing email is sent.
- Consent must be recorded: the date and time, the IP address, and the wording the subscriber agreed to.
- Every marketing email must contain an unsubscribe link.
- One-click unsubscribe via the List-Unsubscribe header must be supported.
- The sending domain must be the sender's own, verified with DKIM.
Monitoring and enforcement
- Bounce rates and spam complaint rates are monitored.
- If a sender's bounce rate exceeds 5%, or their spam complaint rate exceeds 0.1%, sending is stopped.
- Hard bounces and spam complaints are added to the suppression list automatically, so those addresses are never emailed again.
Breaches of this policy may lead to suspension or termination of the account, as described in the Terms of Service.
Reporting abuse
If you have received unwanted email sent through i-Send, tell us at contact@i-send.co.uk and we will investigate.
